World War I & II Militaria. Helmets, Uniforms, Flags, Photos, U-boats, Veterans' Souvenirs, Reenactor helmets and uniforms, War Movie props and posters, Vehicles, Tuskegee Airmen....
Question: How much is my helmet (uniform, bayonet, ring, coat, etc.) worth?
Answer: I do not know. I wish I had the time and qualifications to do so, but I do not. Please go to the "Militaria Links" page, and you will find the experts. Also, I have three businesses and really do not have the time to evaluate your item. I do have a fair amount of knowledge, but I am only a collector, and have never claimed to be an "expert."
Question: Where can I see your collection?
Answer: Only on the internet. I only keep two, repro painted, original helmets on display on top of my television and that is all! All of the real stuff is locked up, elsewhere. In my home, you will find nothing of value.
Question: Is anything for sale?
Answer: The entire collection. I would prefer to sell it all at one time.
Question: When will you answer my Email?
Answer: I will try. I get, on average, 100 hits a week on my website. I get alot of Emails. Unfortunately some get missed. I apologise if I missed or overlooked yours.
Question: Will you buy my helmet (Samuri sword, German dagger, my father's WW2 uniform, etc.)?
Answer: Probably not:
Your father's WW2 Uniform: I would have to have a warehouse to collect these items, even if I just collected them in the area where I live. Veterans are dying in the thousands every day and their dress uniforms are becoming available. Vintage clothing stores, on the internet and in your neighborhood, usually give a home to these items that you do not wish to see thrown in the garbage. I only collect combat uniforms.
Your helmet: I have come to the conclusion, one can not tell what is original or fake, anymore. So many good fakes out there, that now I would only buy from local veteran's families or an occasional dealer. Some are listed on the "Militaria Links" page but I can not vouch for any of them. Local vet's famlies can also give you some history on the items and older folks are less likely to sell a fake. I try not to buy from young collectors as a fake is more likely to pop up.
Question: How do I sell my war item?
Answer: Start a website like mine and get 100 hits a week (it only took 8 years to get that following).
